It always begins with art
Everything I make begins the same way — with an original artwork, created by hand.
Long before a design reaches a fabric, a print, or a product, it starts as a painting or a hand-drawnj illustration, shaped by colour, nature and an intuitive process. That’s the thread running through everything: no matter where a design ends up, it began as a genuine piece of hand-made art.
It’s a slower way to work, but it’s the reason the work has the depth, warmth and character it does — the kind that can’t be mass-produced or generated on a screen.
Inspired by nature, led by colour
My work is inspired by the natural world — Australia’s native flora, the shapes of flowers, and the everyday beauty in botanical forms. But I paint expressively rather than literally, letting colour and instinct lead the way.
Colour is at the heart of everything. I rarely plan a palette in advance; instead I let it build as the work grows, responding to feeling and balance. It’s what gives my designs their energy and their sense of belonging together.
From artwork to living with it
An original artwork is only the beginning of a design’s life.
From that first hand-painted or hand-drawn piece, a design can travel — becoming art prints, homewares, stationery, gifts, or licensed collections for fabric, bedding and wallpaper. The essence of a single original can live on across many forms, brought into homes and everyday moments around the world.
What matters most to me isn’t only where the work travels — it’s how it makes people feel. Hearing that a design has brought colour to a room, joy to a daily ritual, or meaning to a gift is what makes this work worthwhile.

The Bigger Picture
This practice began with a simple truth: painting has always been my way of making sense of the world. What started as a personal creative habit has grown into a body of work that now lives far beyond the canvas — as products people bring into their homes, and as designs licensed by brands around the world.
At its heart, it’s all still the same thing: art made by hand, with colour, story and feeling, designed to be enjoyed.
