I’m Kirsten Katz, a Sydney botanical artist and surface pattern designer. I paint modern botanicals in a bold, playful style: Australian native flora like waratahs, banksias and gum blossom, timeless garden flowers, and exotic blooms like proteas, irises and orchids.

Meet the Artist
Flowers and colour have always been Kirsten's language. From textile design studios to licensing collections sold across Australia and the US, to a painting practice rooted in Australian native flora — her work is about one thing: bringing the beauty of nature into everyday living.
Textile & Surface Design
Trained in Print and Textile Design at Sydney's Fashion Design Studio, Kirsten has spent the last ten years designing for fabric, bedding, stationery and homewares. Her hand-painted approach gives every design depth, movement and warmth.
Kirsten’s designs have appeared on quilting fabric, bedding, greeting cards and home decorator collections for partners including Spotlight, Aero Images, FreeSpirit Fabrics and John Sands.
